Our Daily Routines Include...
Circle Time
Circle time serves as a crucial component of the preschool routine, promoting social interaction, communication skills, and a sense of community among the children. During this time, they gather together to greet each other, sing songs, discuss the day's activities, and participate in group games or discussions. Circle time sets a positive tone for the day and helps children develop important social-emotional skills such as sharing, taking turns, and listening to others.
Center Time
Center time allows children to explore various hands-on learning activities in small groups, both teacher led and independently. These activities may include sensory play, art projects, science experiments, early academics, puzzles, and manipulative toys. Center time fosters independent exploration, problem-solving skills, and creativity. It also provides opportunities for children to practice collaboration, negotiation, and sharing with their peers.
Music and Movement
Music and movement activities engage children both physically and creatively. Through singing, dancing, and playing musical instruments, children develop coordination, rhythm, and self-expression. These activities also enhance cognitive skills such as memory and language development, as children learn new songs and movements.

Gross and Fine Motor Development
Gross and fine motor development activities focus on strengthening children's muscles and coordination. Gross motor activities may include dancing, yoga, obstacle courses, and ball games, while fine motor activities may include cutting, drawing, threading beads, and using tweezers. These activities help children develop control and precision in their movements, preparing them for writing, drawing, and other fine motor tasks.
Outdoor Play and Exploration
Outdoor play is essential for children's physical health and development. It allows children to engage in gross motor activities such as running, jumping, climbing, and playing games. Outdoor play also offers opportunities for sensory exploration and connection with nature. Spending time outdoors promotes overall well-being, builds strength and coordination, and helps children develop spatial awareness and risk-taking skills.
Literacy Circle and Story Time
Literacy circle and story time are integral parts of the preschool curriculum, fostering a love for reading and language development. During this time, children listen to stories read aloud by the teacher, participate in discussions about the stories, and engage in literacy-related activities such as rhyming games, letter recognition, and storytelling. Story time helps children develop vocabulary, comprehension, and pre-reading skills, laying the foundation for future academic success.
Open Centers (Free Play)
Free play allows children to choose their activities and play independently or with peers. During this time, children have the freedom to explore their interests, use their imagination, and engage in open-ended play. Free play promotes creativity, problem-solving skills, and social-emotional development. It also allows children to unwind and recharge before the end of the preschool day.

The takeaway...
Overall, this daily routine provides a well-rounded experience for preschoolers, integrating structured learning activities with opportunities for exploration, creativity, and social interaction. Each component plays a crucial role in supporting children's development across multiple domains, laying the foundation for future academic success and lifelong learning.

Parent Testimonials

I couldn't have asked for a better place for my son. He learns so much everyday. It's comforting to walk in and the staff that we come in contact with greet him by name. It became obvious that the staff loves the kids and enjoy what they do. If he had a rough start when I dropped him off they would tell me I could call and they would check on him. As a first time parent, that meant so much to me. He actually enjoys going to school everyday and can't wait to tell me about his day afterwards. I'm truly blessed to have found the Eaton Early Learning Center and knowing he is in a safe and loving environment everyday.
Observing how much the staff cares about each individual child made the experience of his first time away from home so much easier. I'm truly grateful for the wonderful staff.

Thanks,
Amanda
