"It Takes A Big Heart To Help Shape Little Minds"
Hello my name is Jamie Newby. I am passionate about teaching children and have worked at Eaton Early Learning Center since 2008. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Northern Colorado in 2010. My husband and I live in Evans and we enjoy going to Rockies games and cheering for the Broncos.
I was born and raised in Northern Colorado. I received my degree in Art History from Colorado State University (go Rams). I have enjoyed teaching preschool since 2008. I love spending time with my husband Brian and our two kids Gavin and Lynnsie. These are a few of my favorite things: teaching, reading, camping, creating, singing, traveling, and basketball. However, seeing the pride on a child’s face when they have accomplished something they have been working hard on is my favorite thing ever!
I am thrilled to be a member of this incredible staff. I received my undergraduate and master's degree in education from the University of Northern Colorado. I taught at the elementary level over 20 years. I was born and raised in Eaton and have deep roots in the community. I love teaching, but when I'm not in the classroom I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. My hobbies include reading, attending sporting events, spending time outside, and shopping for vintage collectibles.
My name is Kristin Meyer and I teach the young three year old class. I received my BS in elementary education from Dana College in 1991 and have taught preschool since 2002. Since graduation, I have been privileged to teach many different age groups, from adults to infants, in a wide variety of settings. I am especially excited about EELC's commitment to outdoor education and developmentally appropriate practice. When I'm not in the classroom I enjoy reading, working in the yard, playing with our dog, Ellie, and spending time with my husband, Kevin, and my son, Asher.
Hi, I’m Ms. Maria. I have my bachelor’s degree in elementary education with a minor in psychology. I am married with three growing children of my own. I enjoy listening to music, reading, and doing anything creative. Maybe that’s why I LOVE teaching preschool.
